Nothing is glitched in its original format. Every file is transcoded to an
MPEG-4 part 2 stream first and the moshing happens there, so the source
only has to be decodable — its codec never touches the glitch path.
Tested end to end: MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM (VP9), AVI, WMV/ASF, FLV, MPEG‑PS, MPEG‑TS, 3GP, NUT, animated GIF and raw .m4v streams — with mpeg4, VP9, ProRes, MJPEG, FFV1, HuffYUV, MPEG‑1, MPEG‑2, WMV2 and Sorenson video.
Also decodable (same path, not individually tested here): H.264, HEVC, AV1, VP8, VC‑1, DNxHD, DV, Theora, RealVideo, Cinepak and most of what ffmpeg reads.
If a file will not load it is rarely the codec — usually a container with no video track, or a truncated file.
